Madheeh Aboobakur started his career as a tax auditor at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority. He has more than half a decade of experience in auditing and taxation in the Maldives. During his time at the state revenue authority, he was mostly engaged in the tax audits of large taxpayers, primarily involved in the tourism sector. Madheeh also has experience in strategic tax planning based on the experience of reviewing multiple complex scenarios and groups of a company’s tax structures as per the tax laws and regulations. Madheeh is partly qualified in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and reading for B.Sc. (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. Apart from advising on tax matters, Madheeh also contributes to internal audit and risk management engagements undertaken by the firm.
